What We Do
Our family sought out Destination Home and Marnie Renda for advice on how to make our house safe. We were desperate to find solutions to the many barriers and obstacles that caused injuries to three of us. My daughters and I have a rare genetic disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
Before we met Marnie, we did not know where to begin changing our house. Marnie did a lot research EDS, talked to us extensively and surveyed our situation in our home. The report from Destination Home was so thorough and comprehensive that many top doctors at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital asked for copies to refer other people with disabilities to Marnie.
The report helped in so many ways. We are currently being assisted by Hearth Professionals and The Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Foundation. Since our needs were identified it made it much easier to ask for help. Marnie has been our angel and champion with these organizations. Thank you is inadequate to express our appreciation for all and Destination Home has helped our family.

Patient & Family
As a person living with multiple sclerosis Marnie came to my house, observed how I maneuvered in my environment and made home improvement and adaptive equipment recommendations based on my needs. Marnie based her recommendations based on current and future needs. She connected me with resources that I was not aware that I qualified for and followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied. Marnie and Destination Home are AWESOME. She has set a high standard that all my providers MUST meet or TRY to surpass.
